How is your 1Hundred Girls campaign connected to the product lines?
Sales from our product lines support many of the 1Hundred Girls initiatives.
Example: educational platforms supported by your purchase fall under this category and range from literacy to occupational training to life skills initiatives.
Are you on the ground in Ethiopia or in the US?
Both. We have team members and board members in both Ethiopia and the US who work closely with our partners in the community. Our US team travels at least once a year to oversee initiatives and monitor progress.
How is funding handled for Board travel?
The Board is 100% volunteer-based, covering all costs out of pocket.
How are you different from most charities?
We operate as a business. As we grow our fair trade product lines, it is that income which will sustain and generate the opportunity on the ground. Purchasing power, not hand-outs.
