Vision Screening
Studio Samuel has partnered with Eyes of Hope®, a VSP Global® charity, to offer vision screening exams for 100 young women in Ethiopia. How it works...
* Our on the ground ophthalmologist will exam 100 women (this is what your fee covers)
* On average, approximately 20% of these women will need glasses
* Prescriptions are written, scanned (pix with phone) and emailed to Eyes of Hope®
* Frames are recycled from stock to meet accurate style and head size, based on written script
* Lenses are provided as part of Eyes of Hope® impact initiatives
* Finished glasses are delivered via Studio Samuel volunteers traveling to Addis Ababa
Another Way to Give...
To donate your used glasses, simply drop them into a padded envelope and mail them to:

* More than 12 million children ages five to 15 are visually impaired because of uncorrected refractive errors, conditions that could be easily diagnosed and corrected with glasses, contact lenses or refractive surgery * Ninety percent of blind people live in low-income countries, many of the very poorest people in the world are blind or significantly visually impaired statistics from Vision2020 and World Health Organization |
