What is DAF Day?
DAF Day is a national giving day dedicated to Donor Advised Funds. It encourages donors to recommend grants from their charitable accounts to nonprofit organizations and causes they care about.
You can recommend a grant throughout the year. DAF Day offers a shared moment to take that next step.
What is a Donor Advised Fund?
A Donor Advised Fund, often called a DAF, is a charitable giving account administered by a sponsoring organization. After contributing to the fund, donors can recommend grants to eligible nonprofits.
If you already have a DAF, you can support Studio Samuel with funds you have already committed to charitable giving.
Why support girls’ education in Ethiopia?
For girls facing extreme poverty, staying in school can be difficult. Forced early marriage, child labor, trafficking, and gender-based violence can interrupt their education and limit their choices.
Studio Samuel Girls Academy works alongside the community to address these barriers. Since 2015, our Ethiopian team has led programs that help girls continue their education, develop practical skills, and prepare for greater independence.
Our Training for Tomorrow program runs parallel to traditional school, supporting adolescent girls through academic enrichment, vocational training, computer education, health education, and life skills.
Our approach is rooted in a simple belief: Education is her protection.
What can your DAF grant support?
A grant to Studio Samuel Girls Academy helps sustain the learning and support that girls need throughout the year, including:
Academic support: Learning opportunities that help students strengthen their skills and continue their education.
Computer education: Access to technology and opportunities to develop digital skills.
Menstrual health education: Practical information and reusable menstrual kits that help girls manage their periods.
Life skills and employable skills: Training that builds confidence, supports informed decisions, and prepares girls for their next steps.
Our “Teach a Woman to Fish” model centers girls’ abilities and potential, with programs led by our Ethiopian team and shaped alongside the community.
