For a long time, women were defined by the nurturing roles they played within their communities. Today, they bring that same strength and dedication to many different fields—as teachers, engineers, doctors, and leaders. Yet beyond these titles, a woman is defined by her strength, her compassion, her resilience, and her voice. Womanhood is not only about the roles she fills, but also about the character, courage, and humanity she carries within her.

A woman is someone with a story of her own. She laughs, dreams, struggles, loves, and fights. She grows, she learns, and she finds her voice—even when the world tries to quiet it. She is more than a body, more than a title, more than a role.

Women are symbols of strength, resilience, creativity, and life. They nurture not just children, but ideas, communities, and hope. They teach us what it means to rise after falling, to speak even when it’s hard, to care even when it’s exhausting.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate women everywhere—for their courage, their dreams, and their voices. But celebration is not just about looking back at what’s been achieved; it’s also about lifting the next generation—the girls who will shape the future.

When girls are encouraged to speak, to write, to dream, they discover the power of their own voice. One young girl captured her thoughts in a poem—a reflection of what it means to be a girl and what every girl brings to the world.

Her words remind us that every girl’s voice matters, every girl carries courage, and every girl’s story deserves to be heard.

As we celebrate women today, let’s also listen to the girls whose voices will shape tomorrow. Let’s give them space, support, and encouragement—because in their words and dreams, we see the future of strength, hope, and life itself.
